Project Details

This 2024 kitchen remodel completely reimagined a dated 1970s kitchen, replacing closed and separated rooms with an open, bright, and inviting layout designed for modern living. By removing walls and improving the flow between spaces, the renovation created a kitchen that feels larger, lighter, and more connected to the rest of the home.

The updated kitchen features painted cabinetry that provides a clean and contemporary foundation for the space. Modern appliances, tile backsplashes, and new flooring bring durability and visual interest while reinforcing the sleek, refreshed look of the kitchen.

Functionality was a major focus throughout the design. Cabinet amenities and built-in storage solutions help keep everyday kitchen items organized and concealed, allowing the space to remain tidy and uncluttered. These thoughtful details make the kitchen equally suited for quiet mornings as well as larger family gatherings and entertaining.

The project was completed in collaboration with Hoosier House Furnishings, whose kitchen design helped shape the layout and cabinetry selections. Dyksen & Sons provided the construction expertise and craftsmanship needed to bring the design vision to life.

The finished kitchen demonstrates how thoughtful renovation can transform a dated layout into a modern, highly functional centerpiece of the home.

A project similar to this could typically fall within the $50,000 to $75,000 budget range, depending on materials, finishes, and specific design choices selected by the homeowner.
