Bring historic spaces to life with Dyksen & Sons

Project Details

Completed in 2022, this historic commercial interior renovation brought new life to a 1910-era building by blending classical architectural details with modern design and luxury finishes.

The main foyer features white oak herringbone flooring, custom-built display shelves with integrated lighting, and updated trim from baseboards to ceilings. The staircase preserves original slate treads while adding elegant wall paneling, leading to a second floor with refinished hardwood floors, new lighting, and a fresh paint palette.

The centerpiece of the renovation is the third-floor ballroom, which combines luxury and functionality. New chandeliers, updated lighting, a refreshed foyer with wood flooring, and a modernized paint scheme elevate the space for events while respecting the historic character of the building.

The ballroom bathrooms were also updated, featuring bold paint, marble tile flooring, custom white oak bathroom partitions, and modern quartz vanities that meet commercial standards while emphasizing luxury.

This project demonstrates Dyksen & Sons’ ability to preserve historic charm while delivering modern functionality. Architecture was led by Dyksen & Sons, with interior design collaboration from the client and friends, ensuring the vision was fully realized.

A project similar to this could typically fall within the $500,000 to $750,000 budget range, depending on finishes, materials, and the complexity of design choices.
